The <\/span>MentorSHPE<\/span> program <\/span>facilitates<\/span> one-to-one mentoring relationships that support personal and professional growth and development<\/span> for those in the STEM fields<\/span>. The program is designed to expand professional networks, allow participants to gain new knowledge and insights, and build new skills for both mentors and mentees.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

Mentoring matches will work together to define <\/span>their own <\/span>expectations, <\/span>determine<\/span> goals and a corresponding action plan, and outline milestones to track progress. <\/span>While the program offers guidance and a base template<\/span>, mentors and mentees can tailor the <\/span>content to meet their own needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

MentorSHPE<\/h4>

Mentors and mentees engage in a 3-month long connection or as long as they need. This program is designed for the mentee to initiate a connection with a mentor. Once the connection is formed our software platform will walk you through the connection with some guidance. On demand training and resources are available through the software platform.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Chapter Leader MentorSHPE<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>

The Chapter Leader MentorSHPE track offers the opportunity for new leaders of SHPE chapters to receive experienced guidance as they navigate their new role.\u202fIn Fall 2025 we will be offering an event based mentoring model. Mentors and mentees will engage in virtual events and have opportunities to network and connect.\u00a0<\/p>

Please note that at this time, we are only offering the program to chapter President and Vice President positions. Future expansion to other leader roles is being considered.<\/i>\u00a0<\/p>

Professional MentorSHPE<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>

This track provides SHPE professional members the opportunity to connect for professional and personal development. Content and resources are tailored for professional members only. Participants can connect with a peer at a similar career level or with someone more advanced in their career for a traditional mentoring connection. Connections start with a 3-month plan but can be tailored to be longer depending on participant needs.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

Future GRADS MentorSHPE<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>

The Future GRADS MentorSHPE\u202fProgram facilitates one-to-one mentoring relationships that connect graduate school applicants with mentors to guide them through the application process. Mentees will receive\u202fguidance on the application process from those who have experienced the process themselves. Because there are a limited number of mentors for this program, mentees must apply to be considered to participate. This track is only offered in the fall semester.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
